Configure your organization
Set your organization’s defaults. The parameters control the layout of the capacity planning views and how availability is calculated.
Planning layout:
Select Daily if you need to plan capacity on a very granular, day-to-day level. Choose ISO weekly for a weekly layout.
Note: The planning layout will apply to all projects and cannot be changed later.
Click Create Organization.
Setting up org units
Caperity supports the use of organizational units (org units), which are especially useful when your team is spread across different regions with varying holiday schedules.
You can create a separate org unit for each region and define the corresponding holidays for each one. When a team member is assigned to an org unit, their availability is calculated based on that unit’s holiday calendar — ensuring accurate planning across locations.
Choose Just one org unit if your team works from one office and follows the same holiday schedule.
Choose multiple org units if you have team members in different locations or working under different public holiday calendars.
Not sure? Start with a single org unit — you can always add more later.
You can set a default org unit. New projects or team members will automatically be assigned to the default orgunit, unless a different orgunit is chosen.
